Zhanna Shahparonyan, PSYD

Dr. Zhanna Shahparonyan is a postdoctoral fellow at The Integrated Clinic. Dr. Shahparonyan provides neuropsychological assessment to individuals across the lifespan with a broad array of neurodevelopmental, neurological, and psychiatric concerns. She also provides cognitive rehabilitation, biofeedback, and individual psychotherapy for adults.

Dr. Shahparonyan received her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Health Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University. She completed her APA accredited internship at Kaiser Permanente Department of Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine, where she assessed and treated individuals across the lifespan with neurocognitive and neurodegenerative disorders. She also has extensive training in providing psychotherapy to individuals with marital, mood, and trauma related disorders.

Dr. Shahparonyan’s prior clinical training consists of working at the Huntington Hospital, where she assessed adults diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Lewy Body, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, she completed a three-year pre-doctoral training at a forensic private practice, evaluating and treating individuals with severe brain injuries and bodily injuries.

Furthermore, Dr. Shahparonyan received training at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, where she conducted pre-and-post-surgical neuropsychological assessments with children and adolescents diagnosed with epilepsy and seizure disorders, stroke, traumatic brain injury, encephalitis, and oncological diseases. She also has experience working in a school-based setting leading individual and group therapy for children and adolescents.

Lastly, her research experience primarily focuses on child and adult attachment, adult romantic relationships, domestic violence, codependency, and acculturation specifically with the Armenian-American culture.

At The Integrated Clinic, Dr. Shahparonyan provides neuropsychological assessment, cognitive rehabilitation, biofeedback, and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
