Alexa Dell, MA, CCC-SLP

SPeech-language therapist

Alexa Dell is an ASHA-certified speech and language pathologist (SLP) licensed through the State of California Speech Pathology and Audiology Board. She brings a decade of experience working with children from birth through adolescence across home, school, and clinical settings, as well as through teletherapy.

Alexa provides individualized treatment from a foundation of research and clinical expertise, while incorporating the values and goals of the child and their family. She also collaborates with interdisciplinary teams of educators, psychologists, occupational therapists, and behavior specialists to help manifest and generalize skills growth across settings. Alexa supports children with a variety of communication differences related to receptive and expressive language, phonology, motor speech (including articulation and apraxia), developmental delay, and autism spectrum. Alexa’s philosophy is that therapy for children should be fun and motivating! She believes that progress is made and maintained when children are engaged in meaningful interactions and play.

Alexa was the recipient of an Innovation grant from the Goleta Education Foundation, which has enabled her to develop and implement programs within classrooms to support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Additionally, her extensive experience working in the public education system gives Alexa in-depth knowledge of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. Alexa received her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from San Diego State University after completing her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders with a Minor in Music from the University of Redlands. She values ongoing learning and remaining current with evidence-based practices through participation in continuing education courses.

At The Integrated Clinic, Alexa provides speech and language therapy to children and adolescents.
