Jessica Blum

Educational Specialist

Jessica is an educational specialist with more than a decade of experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, from kindergarten through secondary school. She provides individualized instruction in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning, combining evidence-based, multisensory methods with a warm, engaging approach. Her teaching draws on Orton-Gillingham, The Writing Revolution, and SMARTS executive functioning strategies.

Jessica has worked as a K–6 pod teacher, a homeschool teacher for neurodivergent students, and a speech therapy assistant. In her pod classroom, she taught core academics alongside art and science, incorporating project-based learning to spark curiosity and deepen understanding. She has also taught swimming, coached volleyball, and directed camps. These roles have helped her connect with students, build trust, and make learning an active, rewarding experience.

Jessica takes time to understand each student’s strengths, interests, and challenges, recognizing that meaningful progress begins with a student feeling understood. She brings patience, creativity, and enthusiasm to each lesson. Whether helping a student work through a difficult concept or try something new, she tailors her teaching to provide the right balance of support and challenge. Her goal is to build lasting skills and help students develop confidence in their own abilities.
